Sharing links
The three ways to share your Co.ID profile, and what each one controls.
What is a public link?
A share link that anyone with the URL can open — no sign-in required. It’s the right choice when you want maximum reach (embedding on a website, sending to a wide audience). You won’t see who viewed it.
What is a public link with tracking?
Same as a public link — anyone with the URL can open it — but visitors are asked to enter their name and email before the profile loads. They can decline, but if they do enter their details, you’ll see who viewed your profile and when in your access log. Logged-in Umazi users skip the prompt; their identity is captured automatically.
What is a private link?
The most controlled option. You invite specific people by email; only those recipients can open the link, and only after they sign in and verify their email. Every view is tied to a known identity in your access log. Best for sharing with named counterparties during onboarding, KYC, or due-diligence reviews.
How many sharing links can I have?
This depends on your subscription tier. Up to 5 active share links for a Starter tier, for example. If you reach the cap, delete one you no longer need before creating a new one. (You can also edit an existing link’s description or revoke it without creating a new URL.)
Your profile
What sits on your Co.ID, and how it represents your business.
I have a specific information I want to share but I can’t find it in your list, what can I do?
Contact us and we’ll happily add it right away. Co.ID is built to fit the way real businesses describe themselves, so if there’s a piece of information or a document type you need that we don’t already cover, just tell us — we’ll add it.
How about complex business structures?
Today, one Co.ID profile represents one company, with one named director. Group structures, multiple subsidiaries, and multi-director boards aren’t supported yet — but it’s on the roadmap. For now, larger companies typically create a profile for the trading entity they want counterparties to recognise. Get in touch if you’d like to discuss your structure.
How many directors can my business profile support?
This depends on your pricing tier. The Free tier supports one director; paid tiers support more.
Where can I use Co.ID? Is it UK-only?
Co.ID is available worldwide. Although our product is slightly easier to start with for UK businesses — we have direct integrations with Companies House and a few other UK registries, so a lot of the setup is automatic — any business worldwide can create a profile, upload their own data and documents, and share it with counterparties anywhere.
We’re continuously adding integrations with registries and identifiers in other jurisdictions, so the setup experience for businesses outside the UK keeps getting smoother.
Can I use Co.ID for KYC?
Co.ID is specifically designed for businesses — Know Your Business (KYB), not consumer-facing Know Your Customer (KYC). It verifies that a company is what it says it is, what information it holds, and how it’s structured.
That said, KYC is supported as part of the business profile: we verify the individuals connected to the company — directors, shareholders, beneficial owners and other officers — using regulated identity checks. So you get a single, consistent record covering both the business and the people behind it.
If you need standalone consumer KYC (verifying individuals who aren’t connected to a company), we have other solutions in our toolkit — contact us and we’ll point you to the right approach.
Can I upload as much data and documents as I want on my profile?
Yes — you can add as much information and as many supporting documents as you need, subject to a fair-usage policy. We don’t enforce hard storage caps for typical business use, but if your usage looks materially outside normal patterns (very large files, hundreds of duplicate uploads, or anything that looks more like file hosting than a business profile) we’ll get in touch and work with you on the right plan.
If you have an unusually large or document-heavy profile, just drop us a note beforehand — we’ll happily talk it through.
Verification
What a verified profile is and what it costs.
What is a verified profile?
A profile that the Umazi team has reviewed and confirmed against authoritative sources. Verified profiles display a “100% Verified by Umazi” stamp on every share link, signalling to counterparties that the information has been independently checked. Once verified, any later edits will remove the badge until the profile is re-verified — you’ll be warned before any change goes through.
What’s the cost of verification?
It depends on the complexity of your business, but typically most businesses verification would be around £75.
Security & data
How we protect your profile and the data behind it.
Is it safe?
Yes. Co.ID is built with security first in mind. All data is encrypted in transit (PKCS #1 SHA-256 with RSA encryption) and at rest (AES-256). We host on Google Cloud — a tier-1 cloud provider with regional failover, automated backups and continuous monitoring. The platform is ICO and GDPR compliant, secured with a DigiCert SSL certificate, and tested regularly by independent third-party security professionals.
You can read more on the security section of our home page.
Will you keep my data safe?
Yes. Your business data sits on encrypted storage (AES-256 at rest, PKCS #1 SHA-256 with RSA in transit) on Google Cloud infrastructure. We’re registered with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and operate under GDPR — meaning your data is processed lawfully, you retain control over it, and you can request access, correction or deletion at any time.
Sharing is consent-based: nothing leaves your profile without you creating a share link, and every link can be revoked.
Will you remove all my data if I ask?
Yes. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which removes your profile and revokes every share link immediately. For anything beyond that, you also have the right to request deletion of your personal data under UK GDPR — just contact us and we’ll action it.
The one exception: where the regulatory framework requires us to keep certain records (for example, audit logs, tax records, or KYB attestations held for the period set out in law), we’ll retain only what we have to, for only as long as we have to, and we’ll tell you what those obligations are when you ask.
Plans & cancellation
Paying, leaving, and everything in between.
Can I keep my profile for as long as I want?
Yes, you can. The Free tier has no time limit — creating, holding and sharing your Co.ID on the free plan is free for as long as you want it to be.
In some exceptional circumstances we might contact you about specific information on your profile — for example, content that’s clearly inaccurate, abusive, or outside our policy — and ask you to remove it. We’ll always give you reasonable notice and a chance to put things right before taking any action.
Can I cancel whenever I want?
Yes. Creating a profile and using public sharing is free for as long as you want. Higher paid tiers provide more features but you can cancel at any time — anything paid is non-refundable. If you ever want to step away entirely, you can delete your account from Settings, which permanently removes your profile and revokes all share links.
What if I don’t like the product?
You can stop using it any time. Deleting your account is one click and revokes everything immediately. There’s no commitment to use Co.ID beyond creating a profile, and verification is only worth paying for if it solves a real problem for you. We’d love a quick note on why — feedback shapes what we build next — but you don’t owe us anything.
Partnerships
Bringing Co.ID to your community, members or customers.
I’d like to use Co.ID for my community, is that possible?
Yes — we work with associations, trade bodies, accelerators and other communities who want to offer Co.ID to their members. API integration is available so you can embed Co.ID into your own onboarding, member directory, or verification flow, and we’re happy to co-brand or tailor the experience to your community’s needs.
The simplest next step is to contact us with a quick note about your community and what you’re trying to achieve, and we’ll set up a call.
Can we integrate Co.ID within our operational process to ease information sharing and verification?
Yes — Co.ID is built API-first so it can plug directly into the systems you already use: onboarding flows, KYB and AML checks, supplier portals, procurement platforms, CRM and ERP systems. Whether you want to pull verified business attributes into your own forms, trigger checks automatically when a new counterparty is added, or surface a Co.ID share inside your existing dashboards, the integration patterns are there.
We’ll work with your team to scope the right approach — from a lightweight embed to a full back-end integration with webhooks and audit hooks. Tell us what you’re trying to achieve and we’ll come back with a proposal.
Can you guys help us with information verification?
Yes — we’re experts in verifying business information and can handle that for you. Our team works with authoritative sources (Companies House, beneficial ownership registers, global identifiers like LEI and D-U-N-S, sanctions and PEP lists, plus document checks where needed) to confirm a business is what it says it is.
We can verify on demand for a specific counterparty, run bulk verification across an existing portfolio, or sit behind your platform as a managed verification service so your team never has to chase paperwork again. Get in touch and we’ll talk through what fits.
Are you open to referral opportunities?
Yes — we’re open to hearing about any referral or introducer opportunity that makes sense for both sides. Whether you’re an advisor, an accountant, a trade association, or just someone who keeps bumping into businesses that could use a Co.ID, we’d love to talk.
Drop us a note describing what you have in mind and we’ll come back to discuss terms. Start a conversation.
Can we white-label Co.ID?
Yes — white-label and co-branded deployments are available for partners who want to offer Co.ID under their own brand. That can range from a lightly skinned experience (your logo, your colours, your URL) right through to a fully white-labelled platform with custom verification workflows tailored to your sector.
Tell us a bit about your use case — what you’d want branded, who the end users are, and roughly what volume you’re thinking — and we’ll put together a proposal.
